2 slices of bread, Colby Jack and pepper jack cheese, pan fry in bacon grease, and you're in heaven.

    Story goes...
Mike Starnes was advised by his dad to forget this truckload concept and keep selling for the local company dad was 1/3 owner in at Oxford, MS.
Mike quit; went to Memphis, and leased some equipment. Did a million 5 the first year off his kitchen table office. Bought a 9 hole golf course off Brooks Road for the terminal and shops. Prospered to extent of selling it and coming out on north side of Shelby Drive, just left/west up from its corner with 78/Lamar.
Family discord arose and when the split settled, it was merge it with Swift. Far sighted man; good in business of trucking, a forerunner in truckload.

    who knows now.
Took load to missouri then in transit another facility in tennessee ran out of product, so they turned me east/south to get it here to keep plant going.
They don’t want it, and i’m sure they sent other trucks straight here today so they were just out a day.

JolliRoger, IH9300SBA, Feedman and 5 others Thank this.

Effective!!! Caught 9 out from under my shop floor with them things. Cotton pickers kept heaving dirt out from under the floor, and when they had about a 3 ton pile, I declared war. Just watch your fingers when setting them. They do not give up their dead easily. 220’s work just as well on ground hogs. But, everything considered, you can’t beat a 22.250 with a soft nose bullet. Them things die, Jack! When you se the tail wave in the air, he gone

You must have went by "XXX" Cliett in an earlier time... When "XXX" would pull into "Betty's Gulf Truck Stop" south of Athens ,GA in the 55's. Betty would leave the register; with a handful of quarters, and load the jukebox. She had a song of remembrance : "New names, new faces, and all those different places.... How could I forget one as precious as you?" History in the bunkhouse can be a -itch.
Right embarrassing trying to eat and talk to him over the music...
