Yep, looks you ran over a chunk of wood pallet or something with a nail sticking out. The nail goes in your tire and the wood disintegrates.

That's a screw in the sidewall, should be replaced. Yes, I've seen those.

You'll encounter one once in awhile.
I've even had a bolt. Closer to the tread though.
Anything in the sidewall can't be repaired. Has to be replaced.Texasgordo Thanks this.
