i’d personally rather drive here than Dallas any day

 

Well, got the words today. My hometime is due to end Sunday. Dispatch told me “it’s looking like it’s gonna be Tuesday”

He and I had a short conversation about how in the past I would always schedule my leave out from home on a Sunday, as I would always go home with a load. Which would have me leave Sunday for a Monday delivery and it always worked out.

Now, I’ve been delivering nearby and needing to reload on Sunday (obviously not very achievable with a flatbed). Throw in a Monday holiday and here we sit.

Not complaining. I’m going to enjoy this weekend and start pacing Monday.

 

i honestly didn’t fare much better. Getting to the shipper wasn’t bad at all. Coming back to Ontario took me a bit over 1.5 hours to go about 42 miles on highway 60. Then there was the whole “getting out of LA” thing. I didn’t even bother going up the pass so i took 10 east out of the area

 

Savannah wouldn’t be too bad of a place to get stuck. Uber to the Riverfront and get a nice expensive hotel room for the holiday weekend.

 

Fine with me but it’s a Trademark so I get a Nickel each time it’s used.

 

Reminds me… I need to visit the politics corner again… lol

 

I’ve thought about maybe fostering a dog for a couple months at a time from the dog shelter in Savannah that my daughter and son in law adopted two dogs from. But I’d probably get too attached and then have a 365 truck dog.

 

My wife was filling out an application to do that recently but stopped. I agreed that stopping was the proper move right now as we are trying to sell our house and buy our retirement home about 15 minutes from where we live now.

 

Politics makes me lose brain cells so i go there LOL
