to get into orientation, when you have to go out with a Mentor?
Can any of you Swift drivers verify?
Thanks.
Does it usually take months...

Factors to consider:
1. Which terminal.
2. How many Mentors out of that terminal.
3. Does the Driver Services person put out messages to other Mentors from other terminals.
4. Does the Mentor's gender, or the students gender, have to be exact.
5. Smoker or non-smoker. -
My husband went thru swifts academy in Lewiston Id. The tuesday after he passed his cdl he was in orientation. He finished that up today and recieved his mentors name and should be heading out Sunday.

good luck, swift has alot of miles for the new drivers..
-
depends on the state Ur in most time you can get a mentor right after orientation.

Took orientation last week, still waiting for a mentor....

A freind of mine went to work with Swift, after 5 weeks with a trainer he quit. Said training was to last 6 - 8 weeks and it was looking like he was going to sharing a truck the entire time
-
Of course you share a truck throughout the whole training period. Once you get your own truck, you are no longer in training.

My recruiter told me to be prepared that they need teams right now, but in orientation they kept alluding to solo status after training. After 16 months off work I will take what I get....
