I never once said I don’t want to truck. All I said was I want to go to school in the truck. Which I could do for free, if I Uber for 2 months.

Yesterday I worked 14 hours and made less than $90 . That’s if I get paid properly. Thus far, there’s a high chance I won’t be paid properly (paid at all for tarping)

I said I was homeless I didn’t say I was broke, I’ll just buy a beater off Craigslist for 2000 and live in the car for 2 months lol I’ve done it before.

Do Uber patrons mind riding in a car that you're living in?

There’s definitely a core group of awesome guys who regularly give me really great advice. And I appreciate that. And that’s why I keep coming back.

Just applied at Schneider , again, they have a dedicated dollar tree reefer account open in my area right now. No experience required. I would prefer that for the time being. I’ll see what happens when they call me.

Oh ok!! That'll be cool, you'll make better money for traveling less miles. Perhaps going that route will help you facilitate being able to do some your classes, as you won't have to burn out your clock daily.

CAUTION: Those "dollar store" account dedicated driving jobs will require strong backing/maneuvering skills.

Many of those parking lots/docking areas are just too small for modern-sized big rigs (Schneider will not give you a trailer less than 48 feet long to do those deliveries) -- and you will also be backing/driving into areas with customer/other vendor vehicles in your way.

Slide those trailer tandems ALL THE WAY FORWARD -- before entering!!!

A MUCH BETTER, SAFER choice for a new driver: a dedicated account instead with Home Depot, Lowe's, Bass Pro Shops, or even Costco.

I can't speak for the "Chi town" area....but down here in the "deep south" ...I am seeing a fair number of job postings for Schneider's tanker fleet.

With those ads: no previous experience is required (at least, as of the time of this posting).

If you could get into that fleet, survive the training phase...& stay in it for AT LEAST A YEAR (longer of course would be better still) -- that would set you up for some of the highest-paying gigs in the industry.

Their tanker training is easily some of the best in the industry.

Also: with tanker duty -- you would no longer have to be concerned with trailer "tail swing" issues in those dollar-store parking lots.

Just some food for thought...while you perfect your dance video choreography....:p :D
