I had an ‘04 Canyon with that I-5 engine.

It quickly developed a need for high octane fuel and started using oil before 100K.

The ABS light was also an expensive fix. Apparently the sensors themselves are not replaceable.

    My concept...
Look at it as take what they offer and the balance int rate and total note., do and start payments. Working reg with new truck...

Or buy the new, int rate, larger total note, keep BIII, start making payments . Working irreg / interruptions of detail showing (risk of theft or fire).

Comes down to is it better:
To have a done deal, drive away in new building bank next day?
    Or:
Buy outright taking the risk of lesser $ for BIII, actual loss of load pay during time to arrange sale, and if sold way high how to invest to recoup lapsed
int spent /wasted on the outright note.

Added.. Top of head. You gotta sell III for 5K more than trade offered to consider the risk.

    My question:
A CASE of brake cleaner. How often you use it, how many brakes you clean,? Strange to me post air hose and head turned away, hold breath momentarily....

I told him I was on ag exempt for another 50 mikes. He asked if I had logged any this week, I told him yeah, he had me send him my logs. He checked them thoroughly.
He got on hands and knees looking for rust, and checked each lug nut by hand, injunction I could figure was seeing if one was broken.

This one has the 2.9 I4. It's been a good little puddle jumper, but once I started researching this particular fault, it blew me away how common this seemed to be, and the amount of parts/labor to fix it.

What are chances of getting a takeout engine and swap, not fix. Assuming such/exchangeable engine might be available? Reason..
We had a 1600 IH gas rollback. Dropped a valve. Bought a used engine out of a school bus (low miles/well maintained same connections) pulled and poked. Was running when we sold out.
