I hit a truck at a truck stop, will this be on my record?

I dont know if its proper etiquette but why not walk up to the offending truck , rapp on his window with your ft long mag light and respectfully ask him to move his ##'n truck .

Don't forget to wake someone up if they park stupid and you can't get out. That's your 2nd lesson.

Try to set yourself up for an easy exit when it's time to leave - I know it's not always possible, but I do oversize loads a lot and I always plan parking scenarios well ahead, Trucker Path, google maps, park where I have straight shots out the gate when it's time to go.

How was the truck you hit - did you talk to him/her? Owner or company driver?

And I'll be honest with you - my first 6 months in, I took the hood off a Werner truck in the Flying J in Indianapolis, IN. The company gave me a chance - and here I am 20 years later.

You learn a lot in your first 2 years driving.

Chin up, do the right thing, be super careful. Learn every day.

Yeah, I always try to do that, every truck stop I go to, I always look them up first before going in there. As for the truck I hit, I took his right side front bumper off... I didn't even know that I hit him, he came to me to the fuel island when I was getting fuel and told me that.

We had another ODFL driver get us at a fuel stop - same thing, you barely feel the impact of the trailer.

It was his rear pup trailer in a set of doubles. It didn't do much damage, but we had to flag him down for him to realize what he'd done - and I still don't think he wasn't figuring we were trying to pin some prior damage on him.

Hey, do we have a thread for Oakley Transport here? I look for one but I don't see any here.
