My experience with Cheema Freightlines LLC was frustrating and disappointing. Here's why I wouldn’t recommend this company to other drivers:

Dishonesty

Cheema consistently misrepresents itself. What they promise during onboarding—like good miles, preferred lanes, and specific running hours—rarely matches reality. They set expectations they never deliver on, leaving drivers feeling misled and undervalued.

Low Miles = Low Pay

Despite coercing drivers to stay out for their entire 70-hour workweek, Cheema rarely provides enough miles to justify the time away. Most weeks, drivers struggle to reach 2,500 miles, often falling well short of that number. Low miles mean low pay, and the company makes no effort to address the root cause—poor planning and dispatching.

Moving the Goalposts

Cheema has a bad habit of constantly shifting the terms of your employment. Agreed-upon days off, preferred lanes, and running hours are subject to change regardless of whether it works or not for the driver.

Toxic Management

The management culture at Cheema is toxic and dismissive. Many managers refuse to return calls or emails when drivers need support. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns, they deflect and pin the blame on the drivers. This lack of accountability creates a hostile and unsupportive work environment.

Blame-Shifting

Whenever issues arise—whether it’s low miles, scheduling conflicts, or breakdowns—Cheema consistently blames the drivers. Planners, dispatchers, and management are never held accountable for their mistakes, leaving drivers to take the fall for problems they didn’t create.

Unrealistic Expectations

The company expects drivers to stay out for their entire 70-hour shift, even when they provide less than 2,500 miles a week. You’re left wasting time sitting around with no loads, but they still expect total availability. It’s a huge waste of time and incredibly frustrating when you’re away from home for minimal pay.

Conclusion

Cheema Freightlines LLC talks a good game but fails to deliver. Between the dishonesty, low miles, poor management, and constant blame-shifting, this company makes it hard for drivers to succeed. If you're looking for a trucking job, do yourself a favor and avoid Cheema. You deserve better.

That seems to be true of alot of companies these days and I've had one recently straight up lie to me while 2 others just did a little dance around the truth.
I have little sympathy for trucking companies these days that cry about not being able to find drivers , it's usually because they arnt worth a #### to work for .

You are correct. You didn’t say they didn’t get you home on time. I misread and didn’t realize you had been promised 2 days off a week, which with a family, you definitely need. I’m in a different situation. Adult children, been married so long we are to the hallway sx portion of our lives, etc

I agree that we had different dispatches and planners. There are about 4 dispatchers I think are good. The rest are mediocre and a few that are worthless as teats on a boar. I’m lucky to have a good one. If he ever leaves, I might too, honestly.

Not to my knowledge. They are headquartered in Pacific, Washington, with additional terminals in Albany, OR, Lathrop, CA, and Phoenix, AZ. Their main routes are along the I-5 corridor, though they also cover the Western 11. Perhaps you're thinking of a different Cheema?

Not gonna lie, I had to look up what hallway sx meant lol.

I really don't enjoy posting negative reviews, and there are good people at Cheema. I met so many cool drivers and got lots of waves, headlight flashes and nods from them going down the road. I wish things had worked out differently for me there, I even liked my dispatcher until he started bold faced lying. But what's done is done. I just wanted to relay my experience for other drivers to consider if they are contemplating about a job at Cheema.

It's a sad state of affairs that's for sure. Many of these companies lack any sort of ethics or morals. That's what's great about leveraging forums such as this that give us the opportunity to post reviews

The decent ones have no shortage of drivers, or candidates.
