I show 5-6 minutes for post trip and 8-9 minutes for a pretrip and nobody has ever said a word to me.hope not dumb twucker and IH9300SBA Thank this.
-
I show 7 min pre trip as the company says, and a 3 min post trip. To me a post trip is a walk around and make sure everything is as it was and should be. But the 3 min part comes from the days of Qualcomm and omnitracs kicking back anything under 3 mins.
Back to flat bedding today.
Left the house around 9:20 this morning to head to the truck for my 10am pickup (window). 2 trucks were ahead of me offloading watercraft in Clinton TN. Left from there for my next pickup in Cookeville TN and carried onward to Columbia KY. The Columbia stop, I failed to notice HAD to be picked up today as they are closed on Wednesday. Pulled in there with an hour to spare before they closed up shop.
Currently sitting an hour from my next and final pickup in Florence KY. Hopefully the ice storm stays on the lighter side between Florence and Lincoln for my delivery.Knucklehead Thanks this. -
A minimum of seven minutes is required on a pre trip and around 5-7 minutes an a post trip.

You fall under their normal hiring guidelines so you have to jump through additional hoops. I.E. inward facing camera for 6 months, and riding with a trainer for a short period to “check out” your capabilities.
Pay is determined on job history and level of experience.
Drop and hook sounds about right, but I’m on the longhaul fleet.Ronald Millsap Thanks this. -
Im on the sw regional and the drops & miles are about right.Ronald Millsap and cdavis188 Thank this.

I will have to say one thing, Nick is a lot better keeping me preplanned than Tim ever was. After i drop in Lindsay, I’m to swing over to Crete for a load to Mt. Juliet, TN

That mileage seems about right. I’m at .55 cpm but i make .61 because i’m OTR. I usually run 10-11k a month. When I was on SWR, my miles were on the lower side, usually 2500-2700. However i also spent two full days off usually, because a 34 doesn’t qualify as a weekend at home in my eyes.
There’s some people here who runs 35-40k miles a quarter. I’m not one of those. Getting to 30k is enough for me. Anything extra is a bonus. I can run pretty hard when i’m out but i take a bit more hometime than the average person. I don’t want to burn myself out of a careerGoody3635, hope not dumb twucker and Ronald Millsap Thank this. -
That last part is why I balk at 34’s at home. F that. And why when I take home time it’s Atleast 5-6 days. More like 6. Figure work nonstop for 4/5 weeks more than earned the time off.

working a full calendar month and then taking a full week off is my preferred method. There’s so many companies out there that think you only deserve 1 day off per week though. Thankfully FCC is fairly flexible in that regard. They’re not like Magnum though. I could call my dispatcher and say i need two weeks off to visit family and she would tell me to have fun and see you on the flip side. I got grumbling from Tim when i try to take 10 days off here…Goody3635, Knucklehead and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.
