    That would be perfect driving conditions considering how cold it’s been. When they’d leave the snowpack on the passes all winter and just maintain it with a blade you never had any issues, rarely had to chain unless it was dumping snow and getting deep. Lots of memories running hwy 28 in Idaho and 20 up through Island Park doing the speed limit on groomed snowpack when it was below zero.

    It’s your civic duty as a red blooded free American, and who knows maybe it will be the case of the century.

    Pick up a broker load in Cicero, IL going to Sioux Falls, SD.

    Temperature -6 in Dakota, MN...This place reminds me of that tv program "Life below zero ".

    So at -19 with -33 wind chill running heat from the APU the bunk stayed at 58 degrees. That's a lot better than the 23 Pete I was in with an Espar. Freightliner cabs must have more insulation under the floor too as my feet aren't cold like in the Pete.

    Anyone run 212 this time of year from Spearfish, SD to Crow Agency, MT? Not sure if saving that 50 miles is worth it.

    I always ran it no matter what. But friends of mine that run it now say that the New Canadians are getting terrible. I’ve seen plenty of dash cam videos of them passing going up hills and around corners, etc. Probably a wonder there hasn’t been a head on out across there yet.

    One of the many good things FCC has is that they will let you idle the truck when temperatures get into the single digits.

    I'm in one of 10 trucks that they are testing with the Espar system since last year. (And a couple other new things) No Apu.

    I agree. Too many soft heads deciding multi million dollar verdicts. Common sense isn’t common anymore….

    Time to step up and do your civic duty. Our whole system of Justice (well, most) is based on fellow citizens sitting in a jury box deciding the fate of a fellow citizen.

    Not a King nor State…
    … but rather one’s peers.

    It is a privilege to serve.
    Do a good job!!!

    {steps down from soapbox}
