this is what i’ve been trying to tell the company…i don’t care if it’s unreliable…i don’t care if the thing has 300-400k on it…i should’ve told them they can have my Pete as soon as they pry the keys out of my cold, dead hands…I can barely stand to drive my Cascadia. That’s the other reason why i went back to SWR. It was driving me crazy spending 3-4 weeks at a time in the stupid thing. And no it’s not at all because of the safety bs…i literally can barely fit in the thing

 

Came out of the house yesterday ran a load from Channahon, Illinois to Home Depot in Topeka. Picked up a load from TricorBraun in Kansas City going to Sioux Honey.
It’s a new facility and the directions are nonexistent. It’s easy to find, head South on 435 from the drop lot and take the Front Street exit, turn left, and turn left at the Flying J, go to the end of the street, you’ll see the place on the left, turn in after the building. Very quick in and out.
I’m hanging in CB hoping they can get the truck in tonight for a PM and a list of niggles.
Tomorrow is scheduled to be a bear. Delivering in Sioux City, the bopping over to the Mill in South Sioux City and grabbing a load that I am dropping at the mothership. If CB can’t get the truck tonight, it’ll go in the shop there. Then I am heading to Crete and picking up a load for Cullman, Alabama. So if all goes well, four drop and hooks and two trailer clean outs tomorrow.

 

Be sure to submit that to your DM for the CSM to update the customer file for future Drivers. Well, if it’s not a one off delivery.

Sometimes i hate that trucking is one big game of hurry up and wait.

Left the house this morning, got to receiver, checked in, and was told the age old line, “sorry we don’t have a door available right now, park here to wait until you get a call” and guess what, there’s barely any trucks here

Like hurry up and get your crap off my trailer so i can pick up my next load and go back home

 

I’ve recently been told at two receivers that after I was waiting on them to bump their dock to get unloaded and then I went to park to sweep out the trailer and finish the load in the tablet and verify next load, that “nope, you gotta leave” . . . {insert grumble here}

LOL . . . Almost makes me want to refuse the next load going there.

 

This wind is friggin getting on my nerves.... almost wish I had a load of paper rolls, or bottled water. A load out of Ft Dodge would even be nice.

 

Picked up a trailer out of Fremont today and told my brother I hoped it was heavy. Opened the box to get the bills and the first thing I see is “heavy load. Do not fuel”. It’s perfect. lol. Wind is supposed to be bad again tomorrow I think.
