Not bad as a rookie but after four or six months I’d say that’s a terrible low pay
my neighbor gets paid a percentage doing heavy haul , their training was 9 months , at 10% and then went to 20% as a driver.
The company he works for won’t crank their trucks for less than $10 a loaded mile , they run a lot of empty miles , usually more empty than loaded ,, so he averages .90 cents a mile most of the time and home every weekend .Flat Earth Trucker, hope not dumb twucker and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
####! Nice!hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

He earns every dime when he’s hauling a 16 wide 85 foot long $48 million dollar cargo across 9 states .
but a lot of times it’s a 12 wide 60k lb chunk of steel .
tough background check too .
It even incudes parents and siblings credit criminal and driving records .hope not dumb twucker and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
I saw on Ozark's website that they're all eastern U.S. $0.59 per mile isn't enough for Northeast.
hope not dumb twucker and nextgentrucker Thank this. -

What is fair rate for Northeast?
I also turned down KLLM today for same reason - I could only have one pet. They were offering 0.55 -
I love dogs so I understand completely not wanting to give one up. I guess you’re going to have to decide for yourself how much it’s worth to keep them both. I don’t really know any of the pet policy at any company so I can’t really help with that. I’m pretty sure SNI is no dogs for company drivers. My one piece of advice would be if safety ever calls you, maybe time to take another job. With the way the economy is, everyone will be looking for reasons to fire people over the next year or so. So if you’re ever on safety’s radar, maybe let that make your decision if you don’t really care about the money as much.

59 cents per mile. Is that better than what you make now? Jesus H Christ. Go into another business.
