Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

So much for my good start to next week. Had a 19:00 appointment to live load. Get to my shipper and find out that this load was supposed to be picked up Monday, and nobody showed, so they put the stuff away. Dispatch swears the load was rescheduled, but the shipper doesn't show any schedule changes, and dont have any slots open to load today and don't load on the weekend. So, my whole trip plan went down the tubes. Dispatch is working on an alternate plan. Not sure who dropped the ball on this, but...

 

It happens. The only company I ever worked for where it didn't was Moore because we only hauled one type of freight for a limited number of shippers. (I hope everyone was sitting down when they read that...and were shocked by a patient response from me in this situation)

 

We hauled all over the eastern half of the US and eastern Canada out of there...or, they had us haul an empty double drop to KS to pick up out of the Spring Hill plant.

 

Hope they get me a new load soon, and going southwest out of here. This is the forecast over Donner
