To hard to get parts for it. Peterbilt or KW you can find parts for easily, WS left EVERYTHING go obsolete. Only place to get parts for mine is east coast or snow Mexico. I’m not knocking it, it’s served me well, but think I’m ready for something different

On these later ones, the cab & hood are the only things that are still WS. Everything else screams Freightliner. And now the cab is gone too.

Reliability and KT aren't often used in the same sentence in my experience. I've never run one, but those that I know that did had constant head bolt problems. They were a heck of a horse, but touchy from what I was told. Again, no personal experience so maybe I'm full of crap.

I had a KT 450 in a 379. It was the non after cooler one . You are correct about the heads . I never broke head bolts but head gaskets were hard to keep in it . With 6 individual heads the counter bore had to be dead on. When it was right it would tote the mail , it was a 1977 model I owned it from 79 till late 80's. I lost 2 drivers license and was running on a third when I sold it. The good old days. Oh and its a heavy engine too .
