Hard to believe they actually did it because was it Waymo or some other company way trying for couple years finally gave up or went out of business. I thought Tesla would be the first with cars.
They have a couple cars that are self driving you can ride in but had trouble in San Francisco with them getting stuck or someplace. A truck pulling a trailer did not seem possible yetnextgentrucker and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Tusimple was the one that went under. They were running Tucson/nogales to Phoenix... Waymo is alive and well . They have had full driverless taxis running around phoenix for years now... I believe they also have trucks

Tesla, in an update on Semi, said that the first units of the electric trucks would be on the production line by the end of 2025 at its Nevada gigafactory campus.
Tesla’s Semi trucks to roll out from Nevada gigafactory by end of 2…

The product had to be delivered to an Aurora facility in Dallas by a human driver. It was then taken by an autonomous truck to the next Aurora facility in Houston, where another human driver picked it up. We're talking less than 300 miles of freeway driving. This isn't anywhere close to being practical or profitable for commercial use.

Apparently it makes sense to use a car to follow the driverless truck , rather than letting the driver sit in the truck.
