Yeah…I’m still here. Don’t know for how much longer. Going down hill. Their web page crashes at least once a month. The load search board is finicky. I’ve brought this up to the higher ups but they don’t care. Some of the new hires are freakin embarrassing and their equipment is sub par. They wanted to get into the dry van side and it’s working so so. More and more of the agents are posting loads off of DAT or Truckstop instead of finding their own accounts.

Load board crashed every Monday lately and is screwed up for several days usually. Yeah, new hires, chosen straight out the mega-carrier recruitment guide. I've heard some of them even speak English (sort of) !

The van side has definitely brought down the standards, no doubt about it. Embarrassing now to see some of these drivers. Flatbed not much better, have new drivers that still don't have a clue how to secure a load, I mean really no idea whatsoever. Not only embarrassing again, but #### unsafe. I've quit trying to help people, make 'suggestions' how to secure something, 99% of the time it leads to confrontation rather than helping.

Not entirely Mercer's fault, that's what is out there to be hired, sad state of affairs it is for sure.

Is grooving a tire the same thing as recapping? Excuse my ignorance---I'm still learning.

So theoretically, you can have 20k lbs. on one axle, but its partner then could not exceed 14k lbs.? (Assuming the group max is 34k lbs.)

Hey folks — I know this thread’s been going for years and covers just about everything Mercer-related, but I wanted to ask something specific about the lease-purchase program, especially trailer leases tied to dispatch contracts.

Did anyone else ever have their trucking lease terminated, then get told they couldn’t make payments on the trailer anymore because the lease was tied to Mercer’s settlement system? And then maybe got hit with a lawsuit afterward?

I’m not trying to derail the thread, but I’ve posted about a situation like that here:
Mercer Trailer Lease – What Happened After They Took My Trailer Back

Would really appreciate if anyone had a similar experience or even just remembers seeing something like that posted before. I’m trying to understand if this was a one-off deal or part of how Mercer’s program is structured. Thanks in advance.

You could ask on Facebook. Don’t go to Mercertown. That one’s for all the cheerleaders.

Go to mercertown 2. That’s where all us misfits and outlaws hang out.
