Do you get paid layover pay for waiting?

 

My asset mgr had told me when i grabbed a load to san marcos tx from phx from another driver that they didn’t have any customers in san antonio region and they didn’t have me preplanned for that reason and they were hesitant about long dh.. that’s when I told them that if that’s the case, I’m not accepting any more loads to this area no matter the reason and then they turn around shortly after that deadheaded me all the way up to Sunnyvale, Texas, 240 mile deadhead… But with Washington this is highly unusual. This is the first time in couple years that I’ve actually seen this occur in this region of Washington, especially

 

They didn’t put any on mine. I’m just having my trailer pre-cooled down -10 just in case… My fuel solutions they got me fueling at Ritzville, then Missoula, then Mandan, North Dakota then Beloit…. by the way the location in Zeeland it says Hillshire Farms, but it’s Tyson..Tyson owns that company

 

I did that run about a month ago, temp was -10. Pickup was great, barely got a 30 in before they had me done. Delivery took about 3hrs iirc. There's a little truckstop north of Tyson where the road ends that has a washout fyi.
