FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Chewy facility in Dallas is closing up shop (or has already closed) so all our freight that went there now goes to their brand new facility here in Houston near the SHT and US-90 on the east side.

Already dropped and now just waiting for everyone to come into the office so I can get my next load. No emptys here so they'll either have to find another empty around here or just deadhead me to the next shipper

 

yep that's correct. It's where the Heartland Motorsports Park used to be. Actually the race track and drag strip are still there. It closed for good a couple years ago which is a #### shame, but it is what it is.

I hung onto the sheet of paper they gave me with the directions on how to get there, how to access the facility, and how to get to the drop lot if you want me to PM you a picture of it

 

Waited around for 2.5 hours and had the receiving clerk give me a whole spiel about not having any emptys and wouldn't have one until this afternoon. Another O/O pulled into the lot to deliver and he or someone at the company must've lit a fire under their ##### because all of a sudden the yard dog pulled 3 of our trailers out of doors

 

Always love pulling one of our special wrap trailers. I think my most favorite wrap i pulled was our first responders trailer

 

Savannah was really quick today. Pulled in 30 minutes before my appointment and was empty in 10 minutes. Lot is crowded with UTVs in racks but there weren’t any trucks waiting so it wasn’t bad.

I was there at 0900 and was blown away by how many they have in the lot. Used to just be the far end but now it’s every spot available except across from their active docks. Crazy.

I love rolling with that trailer.

One time I had a nonFCC Driver come up to me at a random truck stop and offered to pay for a trailer wash for it. Unfortunately I was running tight and couldn’t take him up on that offer.

It makes a statement for sure.

 

Wonder how long until Kawasaki slows down because they’re stacking inventory. Given the average debt load in this country the number of people who are willing to finance $30k on a toy has to be declining.

 

They have been loading their Supply Chain for some time due to the roll out of that new line. But if any of them are shipped in from overseas, like China, then they might pack everything full.
