PTL versus BNSF

Parts of La Grange are rather upscale, and that section of La Grange Road -- U.S. 45 -- runs through their "cutesy little upscale boutiques downtown." It's a clusterf*ck on a "normal" day. This had to cause a real circus.

 

Here is another view taken by a railfan who just happened to be nearby.
I just don't get it.
"Gee officer, I just didn't see this enormous ORANGE locomotive coming right at me."

 

@Chinatown got a driver needing job, slight scratch and dent on the trailer.. dunno why they fired him… etc.

Not sure about Lagrange, but a bunch of those burbs around there have gone "No train horn" on that line.

 

In order to have a "Quiet Zone", no train horns, the cities have to pony up the extra funds to install 4 quadrant crossing arms. These block all traffic lanes on both sides of the crossing so vehicles can't just drive around the gates.
