C'mon... This guy found a way to make money. You can't fault a guy for that.

I think it's genius. Sometimes you gotta think outside the box. Guy gets paid to excercise.

All I can come up with is that they allow 2 hours in temps 25 and below.. Just have some conflicting explanations of it though. Like only if doing maintenance. Below 40 if you have 15 passengers..absolutely nothing about high temperatures.

    If you’re near a school it’s only 1 minute.

Unless you’re actually in the city I wouldn’t worry about it. I never had a problem outside the city myself. Fact is I don’t have credentials anymore for NY. Got tired of filling quarterly with them and their website always down when I needed it.

I don't know if you count Queens as in the city but I was in Maspeth.

There are no exemptions for allowing to stay cool in heat because it is not a law that trucks have to have a/c. Only heat and defrost

Most of what I did in NY was upstate. Where you were I’d probably sleep with one eye open.

You know the saying…when in Rome do as the Romans.
I used to worry about the idle laws when I first started.. I believe like Colorado has an exemption if you’re sleeping or something along those lines.

Can’t say I’ve seen the issue brought up in a long time.

BC has idle free zones at scales and I’ve seen many idling all night long. Certain areas the sign alone reduces idling by a huge amount is my guess

Yup - probably likes his groceries stocked and meat in the freezer, or veggies in the chiller - but can’t comprehend his fellow man’s challenges to make that happen.
