Only thing I can think is that it blew a steer on the highway and was towed in there and dropped.

Don’t see any marks on the pavement, and looks like the rim has sunk into the blacktop a little.

    Kinda odd.

Just a guess....highway mounted cameras. Internet feed, they can figure out where he gets off, they usually have cameras at those intersections ramps, also. :biggrin_25525:

Hope it goes well. Wife had a replacement, on the good one, and is not in a hurry to do the bad one, after the first experience, either. She may not have a choice, soon, if she's planning on retiring/quitting her job of 40 some years any time soon.

We watched a YT video of a chase where a cop was trying over and over to get one to stick to a vehicle they were pursuing, so they aren't as reliable as that one shot video shows....but still, a nice addition to the tools, and yes, the way he described it, I'm inclined to think it was either cameras or familiarity that made it a quick find.

Can’t imagine paying a tow for a tire and wheel. You’re looking at $2k+ for a short hop.

Is the surgery going to be one of the robotic systems? A former coworker had it done that way about a year ago. Was up and walking in a very short time. Said it was very little pain. Seemed to be healed up in a few weeks. Not sure if that method is different from what they used to do. Sure seemed to work.
