Man oh man I would love to work for a great company like white mountain. I've looked them up and those trucks are gorgeous. I don't have a full year experience yet tho so would they even consider taking me. Also to tell you the truth brother if they're going to be running me like a donkey that'd be great, but the pay looked kinda low. If I was working overtime for free pretty much anywhere besides the playboy bunny house I know I'd be pissed about it.

Why group yourself in to a place like that? One of the drivers i ran with my first 2 weeks with his company he went to a company in vegas called flat out services and said the boss was a crook and hired nothing but felons who cant leave and he owes everybody money... he came back to white mountain a month after he left... By all means i can appreciate a company giving second chances to guys but as a driver with no prison experience its best to distance yourself from companies like that because its hard to escape... There is plenty of fantastic gigs out of SLC as well

When i orginally messaged u about the gig i told you they are taking guys right out of school now...and gave u the phone number to call the recruiter... I grossed 90k last year. The pay is low for me, and yes you will have to work for it. but its what i could find to get back on my feet after losing my business... That is great money for someone with 10 months experience and it is doable if u run hard... Im pretty sure @Rugerfan even gave u some good fuel hauling companies u could get ur feet wet at that paid even more... If you are looking to make 120+k a year with 10 months experience, i think u will have difficulty finding it... Im coming up on 9 years experience just surpassing a million miles andnhave been on everyside of this business as an owner/lease and company man, and white mountain was the best paying gig i could find...take that for what its worth. Im generally happy with my decision they are one of the better companies on the road. I will be leaving them soon enough when i can get my own truck fixed and out back on the road working for myself.. but i would probably work for these guys for good if i wanted to be a company driver. As long as managment doesnt start getting stupid

Well I'm in a tough spot. 10 months experience. 2 jobs in a year. Job market is not great. I don't love the idea of working for this company. I just like the the idea of the job 40 hours a week or so (hopefully you're not right about him lying). I'd get to go the gym almost as much as I want which I've been missing like crazy. It seems like an easy run and the money isn't great but it's fair enough. With the perks like no rent payment, subsided food and coffee, that adds up too. I'm open minded, but what was advertised would be a great fit for me, as long as the company is actually safe enough to drive for. I don't know man being an adult is hard sometimes.

U have to make your own decisions. I will be 30 years old in august have made many poor decisions in this industry in the short time ive been out here, i have nobody to blame but myself for the short comings ive ran into... As long as u can understand what were trying to tell you, just dont get upset when all of these warnings come to fruition in due time... It happens all the time out here

The old saying “If it seems too good to be true it probably is” comes to mind here. If the job is so great and he offers free rent and free food and this and that then why is he advertising on Craigslist? Why doesn’t he have a wait list of people waiting to go to work there?

Also you’re going to be working more than 40 hours. There’s no way you’re going to average 60mph for the week after figuring in load and unload times.

Definitely brother I understand what everyone is saying. I get it. Hey if it's not right I'll walk away. Or if he lied about what the job actually is I'll walk away. I don't have much invested in this job so not going to be losing much if I have to leave. I think there's only 1 or 2 scales on that run from Vegas to Lehi and back. I could probably just run when the scales are closed if that's the case. Not ideal for sure but I'll make sure I'd be able to hopefully pass inspections anyways. It's be nice to have an almost normal job for a while. This contract for Vegas to Lehi is 18 months, so if I can run it for that full time I'd be at past 2+ years experience then.

I’ll bet the hours will be north of 60 a week with wait times unloading, and loading.

Oh I don't know I don't think it seems too good to be true. 250 bucks a day for 400 miles on a dedicated run. Seems fair to average to me. The free rent is only good if you don't give a crap and are ok with the most minimum living arrangements. The free food is nothing crazy, it's not like a steak dinner, just snacks and drinks type of deal. The 40 hours yeah that's probably a dream but it might be less than 50.
