The 3-4 hour tarp jobs are solely on you. Even the worst load shouldn’t much longer than an hour to tarp.

 

Federal minimum wage isn’t $20.

 

The shippers will load you how you tell them. I pulled flatbed for 10 years. Square the ends if possible and make sure there aren’t any holes where your tarps overlap. We didn’t get paid for tarping, we simply got $50 per load on top of our mileage pay whether it had to be tarped or not. But we hauled a lot of particle board and plywood so easily 90% of our loads were tarped.

 

Even with all the padding I had to use this one didn’t take much over an hour. And I had to use my 8ft lumber tarps because it was too tall for our 4ft drops.

 

God I love those trucks. Awesome tarp job to go with it.
