I'm at a facility that crates and ships things. I walked by this and asked if I could take a photo. The brief story is that -

Some guy passed away, and his trophies need to be packaged and crated and shipped to storage, by his descendants. (In my mind I thought "Better be some temperature controlled storage, or these dead skins are gonna be trash pretty quickly).

To me, it's a postage stamp, or meme, or poster - of why the earth will laugh and shed its skin of the plague that is humans, myself included.

Don't get me wrong - I have no problem with hunting for control of population, deer especially. But the only time I'll kill an animal that doesn't pose a threat to me is because I am hungry. As Joe Rogan said - "Earth grows grass, dumb things eat grass - humans eat dumb things".

The lion bothered me. I am a fan of felines, but I can't see a scenario where some rich guy needed to go and kill one simply to stuff it and put it in his weird collection of dead things.

Go ahead and bash me for it.

I was gonna say something similar to what you said but thought I would keep it to myself. Hunting is fun and amazing but only for food, not sport.

cke, Tug Toy, Feedman and 6 others Thank this.
