I like tech more than anyone but I've seen so many companies implement a new system and of course it fails in a week or something and then you can't get in the gate or the terminal....hope they tested the system thoroughly...

That’s the biggest issue I see with companies installing these type assistance. A lot of them don’t do any testing to ensure that the systems are working properlyMACK E-6, Gearjammin' Penguin, hope not dumb twucker and 1 other person Thank this.

I saw the announcement. Not sure why they insist on a card system. SPD's corporate office and gate had these little keychain RFID dongles that worked just fine and didn't bend like a card in your wallet. And at Prime, our Prepass transponder opened the gate when you pulled up to it. Of course a transponder system wouldn't keep a thief from stealing a truck if they could get one started.

It took until 5:15 this morning to get my paperwork. 11.25 hours. When I went in just before midnight, the old "walter" receiving prick told everyone in the room that if we were there to check on our door status, that we needed to go back out to our #### truck and wait for a phone call. When I went back in at 0500 there was a 2nd receiving person there with "walter", and when I asked what the problem was delaying my paperwork, she found it in a stack of papers that were loads that a person working from home had closed and completed, but never called or messaged anyone in the office about them (like they were drop loads, not live unloads). When she signed my bills and handed me my copies, I looked "walter" straight in the eyes and rudely asked if I should still go back out to my truck and wait for him to call. He looked down at his computer screen and wouldn't look back up at me. Told dispatch that this was the LAST load I pull out of that shipper and the last load to Kroger...I wouldn't piss on a Kroger store or warehouse if either one was on fire. The amount Crete used to charge customers for equipment delays was around $400 after 2 or 3 hours(according to one customer I picked up at)...I hope that amount went up with inflation and Kroger is gonna have many thousands of detention dollars added to their bill.

Not sure how because I've been to several of the gates and they stay open for a long time.....I've actually waited to make sure it came back down and it was at least another 3 minutes after the first truck went through... plenty of time to roll through after....Friend Thanks this.

FYI, I’ve been to that Kroger several times and I’ve had the same issues with that Kroger so my advice to you is going forward if you see any load going to that place reject itKnucklehead, hotrod1653, hope not dumb twucker and 1 other person Thank this.
