I happen to run across the driver this morning in the driver’s lounge… Now he mentioned he got shut down for four hours on US 83 due to an accident and was unable to pull a U-turn safely But then he still got to Tyson Friday evening and he told me he was parked at the loves which is just down the street on the same road as Tyson in Holcomb… Still doesn’t explain why it took him 20 hours to get 380 miles

hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

PTA's mean absolutely nothing to these people. When I accepted the load from Shelbyville to Jax, I set my PTA up for Monday because I have about had all I can stand of this place for 2025. Now they put me on a load that picks up in Jacksonville Wednesday and delivers in VA on Saturday. Why even put a PTA space in the preplan reply if they aren't gonna even look at it and just plan like it isn't even there. I simply rejected it and they took it back off of me.

Because at 1845, they sent me the message that he was 380 miles away… The Tyson plant is 390 miles from our yard in Kansas City… Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out where he was… And then he didn’t arrive until about 14:15 Saturday afternoon and the driver confirmed with me this morning, as I ran into him in the driver‘s lounge that he had parked at the Love’s after picking the load up, which is just down the road from the Tyson plant…

Since they ignore PTAs, maybe I should just do some ignoring of my own and ignore delivery appointments. Just fly by the seat of my pants like our office people do and deliver whenever...

Why don’t you just turn down the load I mean, that would be the easiest thing to do.. you probably don’t have any accrued vacation time. If you do then you can take that vacation time during Christmas blackout time… If not, that’s why they put you under a load.

Parked at the Peelot in Murfreesboro for my break before picking up my Tyson load. Since arriving they have sent me 4 messages about the Murfreesboro location being a high risk parking area for freight theft...I hope they steal some of my freight....I could use less air in my empty trailer. I have gotten messages about parking areas before, but only once, never multiple messages in one night. They're getting really annoying with this ########. Wellness messages, parking area warnings....when are we gonna have someone in the passenger seat holding our hands full time. If I told a potential recruit about how they nanny us here, they wouldn't walk, they would run from this place.

Correction - another parking message just popped up. These people are worse than a disgruntled wife with extreme PMS.

In 25 years, that is the only location I ever had a trailer broken into.

But the nanny message frequency is ridiculous.

Those are automated msgs that pop up depending on what location you’re at when it comes to freight theft..the nanny crap is exaggerated by some folks..the hand holding is utter bs..I go weeks without hearing from asset mgr..they give you your loads and let you do your thing..some folks complain nonstop even if the sun was the wrong color… do they have issue??.. sure but they are quick to resolve them.. even having an open door policy to communicate with the president of Shaffer and the president and COO of Crete.. even the CEO Tonn will talk to drivers.. they are very easy to talk with…

Schneider had numerous such automated messages about specific locations, general areas of concern, and the like. Oh yes, I’m familiar with them. But likewise, I almost never heard from my team. The most common subject of their communiques were to remind me to do the monthly video module.
