when either your 14hrs or 11hrs run out. they think there's a 15min safe haven rule that allows you to go over in order to find a place to shut down.

 

They may THINK that, but they are wrong. Logging into the sleeper will only save them time on there 70 but doesn't stop the 14. Only time that would have any affect would be if using the 8/2 split and still wouldn't stop the 14 for the 2hr part. I'm on the EOBR.

Edit: If they think there's a safe haven rule, tell them I have swamp land in Arizona for sell real cheap. You get a warning message at 1hr to violating either the 11, 14, or 70 hr rule. The next message you would get tells you that you are in violation.

Legal and accurate are 2 different things. Personally I think logging is a joke. Your adult you don't need your government to tell you when to put your jammies on. So you are saying you have never lied or misrepresented anything in a log book, You have at all time regardless of the consequences logged exactlly as you have driven and worked, and at no time have you ever driven, operated, loaded or unloaded without showing it as such.

But driver are disposable, right along with dm's and term mgr's. Comopanies do not value employee's in general only performance.

 

That is very true and it applies to everywhere and not just trucking. BUT there are companies that recognize the value of having efficient employees that know their job well. Without those employees they are not in business anymore. That's why I am done with these big companies. Knight was dishonest and thieving and on top of that willing to replace any driver on the drop of a dime for cheaper labor.

a 15 minute safe have is when your approaching your 14 or 11 hr clock the qualcom is suppose to tell you you have 15 minutes to find a safe place to stop for your break.
