Are you running it in shortest route? main screen/preferences/route settings?

You should run it to my house... sounds like you have it in shortest route.. I travel from Statesville to Hickory a lot of times and mine keeps me on I-40..

try running it in fastest route and see what happens.. if it still acts up... then run it by my house so I can look at it...

    Thanks,
    Mark

I'm trying both ways. here is another example:
Routing from Ambassador bridge at Detroit/Windsor to London Ontario.
In shortest route mode, wants to route me on Hwy 2 to Hwy 401 at exit 63, then 401 to exit 177 onto hwy 3, then to final.
Final is 8km directly off Hwy 401.
I bypassed exit 177 to go directly to exit 199. It recalculated and came up 19 minutes sooner and 18km shorter to go to 199.
Returning, it wanted to route me onto 401, then exit to hwy 3, to hwy 2 and to the bridge. When I passed the exit to hwy 3, it came up 19km shorter and 19 minutes sooner.
Routing to destination was shortest. Routing back was quickest.

It will take me off the freeways and right back on the opposing on ramp in both modes. No pattern. Just does it.
As far as tourist route, that was in shortest mode. However, after checking map, it was several miles longer the way it wanted to route me on back roads.

    Hi Mark

Will RM ever let the driver pick the screen oppions? I had a Iway500 by Lowrance and you could do it.And you could make the info boxes translucent, i found it made for more screen showing instead of a quarter of the screen being used up with diffrent colour boxes reducing the maping screen .Thanks looking forward to hearing back

    Mark.

From AltaVista, Va to Casa Grand, Az.- part of this route is I30 to I20 to I10. However, the drop down list of transitions does not show I20 at all, It acts as if I30 runs to I10 which it doesn't.

    ps- this is the TND500.
