Only US company drivers, and Ontario company drivers.

I have no verifiable evidence to support this.

No worries REDD...I threw it out there to learn about others' points of view. I didn't realize I would be going back to logging school, but oh well.

Have a relating story- received a preplan that picked up at midnight the next day. Back of the envelope math told me that was about 29.25 hours away. I called to see if they would have the load ready early. Nope. Called about 3 hours before midnight, nope not ready, in fact not ready til 2 AM. Hmm, 31.25 hours, already late on the load, well it's not like 2.75 hours would have made the load on time anyway lol so I went ahead and waited and got a fresh 34 restart.

Turned out to be a brilliant move in the end because the load scaled at exactly 81,000 pounds with a quarter tank of fuel (learned my lesson about fueling before scaling). Returned to shipper- more time killed, guardshack runaround- more time killed, rework load- more time killed, return to truck stop scale, slide tandems- more time killed, fuel, qualcomm paperwork etc 8 hours of 14 for the day had been killed against being ontime for that load. So they gave me 24 more hours to get it there pressure off!

I'm actually glad I saw the logging stuff. I haven't used a recap in years, so it was nice for me to get a refresher course.

At least you can get a good chuckle out of it.... Can't you?

Plus it is more proof that truck driver's have A.D.D.

i bet most drivers that needed a 34 would prefer to take a 34 at home, but it usually doesnt work out that way from what ive seen so far, seen as im a rookie.
