thanks for the info, glad to hear you are happy there.
i'm the kind of person that soaks up as much information as possible when interested in a subject. since i already plan on attending their training school when my current job ends, i want to be prepared so i can focus 100% on learning what i need to learn. because i am stuck throwing newspapers for another 3+ weeks, i'm focused on getting as prepared as possible before the time comes to get on the bus to class. i'm also a tiny bit of a control freak and want to know what the next 2+ years of my life will be like. i'm really looking forward to the experience.

i'll run my truck, you run yours (if you have one)..... -
Mindcrime: PM me with specific questions and I will either answer them outright or tell you where to look/who to ask if I don't have the answer. If you don't have enough posts to PM (50) go through one of the mods.
I'm tired of fighting misinformation and volitile temperaments on this thread.BJnobear Thanks this. -

If you want the most current information regarding Swift training, check out Oldnewbiegonnabe. He recently finished training and has been in his own truck for just a short time. He has some threads here and he writes in a way that's easy to understand and interesting. (Shhhh....don't tell him I said this...)
I believe he will be able to best answer your questions...if you have any left over after reading his threads, that is....he's very thorough.
My own experience with Swift training was well over three years ago and things have changed some since then...not to mention the training facility I went to was closed because the property was worth more to UPS than the school was to Swift. Even the mentor program has been rearranged since I was on my mentor's truck.
Perhaps a current mentor could answer those questions. Nope, I'm not a mentor, and have no aspersions toward becoming one. I am very particular about my equipment and a little too Type "A" to train a new person. My expectations of people are just too high and it would not be fair. New people make mistakes. It's part of learning. I just don't have the patience to work through mistakes with someone.
Again, check out Oldnewbie...he's a gem.Texas-Nana Thanks this. -
Seriously though, I'll answer any questions I'm qualified to answer. I'll also make up some BS for the ones I don't know the answer to.Injun Thanks this. -
