Just for the record I'll say that I haven't experienced this "10-15% free miles" shenanigans. Usually the paid miles are indeed less than the actual miles, but from my records the average shortage is around 3%. Around half the time the paid miles actually end up being MORE than the hub miles, but not by a whole lot.

Not defending or stirring the pot, just adding some facts.

    knighton5 Thanks this.

All we have to do to settle this never ending "driver vs management" dispute is sit back and wait for the good things about Knight to be brought up. Yea the 600 drivers that quit today say Knights got issues and you all in management would rather come here as opposed to fixing the issues that cause your terminals to look like junk yards.

    So we'll wait....

In the meantime you might do some brainstorming and see if you can attempt to solve that little turnover problem you have.

There's a turnover problem here? I thought that people came for the company t-shirts and then quit in droves.

    Alright, I kid, I kid...

No, I'm pretty sure Knights reputation kind of speaks for itself.

Bash away. Hi there the names DNA Mach and I'm a truck driver or should I say, just an anonymous poster on a message board. Please do attack my "coalition of dunces."

How you people look at yourselves in the mirror is beyond me. You keep fighting the good fight and I'm fairly certain that most truckdrivers will to by parking your scaled down wannabe trucks, if they can find a spot among all of the oos trailers.

So you are a fairview driver...Knighton5,,, You must have one of the two really good dispatchers, dispatching you? When I leased with them, I had a new guy but got one of the two good ones real fast..I can honestly say, she kept me moving without any layovers, I got in got out got home. Never had to much of an mt problem, lots of drop and hooks and she was as honest they come. She said shed do it and she did it but it took awhile to get on the same page and if your straight with her, shes the same with you. Sure Knight has lots of problems but the dispatcher can make a world of difference.

That's true for 100% of the truck companies in the U.S. Unfortunately, office operations standards are just as sub-par as driver standards. Sure, the office people dress nice, but something is usually missing upstairs. That college degree requirement to be hired on as a dispatcher becomes null when a dispatcher can't even manage drivers properly, or maintain an excellent driver retention across their boards.

But then again, that would be the common sense thing to do.
