Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like Yousa was trying to cut out the middle man?
And I'm guessing the other firm (All-Ways) was taking bids from trucks other than USA?
Bah, anyway, it looks like some sales puke just jumped the shark. I don't think this will have much effect on drivers. -
In these tough times it may. That is a nice little chunk of change they have to pay and seeing they havent turned a profit for a few quarters now they will have to find a way to make up that money somewhere
-
Not much effect on drivers? Usa is a publicly traded company and has to answer to their shareholders. They will have to recoup this money somewhere. Maybe all of the folks in the management areas will take a big pay cut so the drivers can continue to make a good living. The drivers are ALWAYS the first to take a hit in any trucking company.
Oh, btw, usa is self insured and will have to pay this out directly causing their stocks to plummet.Specialk3663 Thanks this. -
Self insured how far ???
Some (most) companies have a ceiling, then insurance kicks in !!! -
I doubt they have lawsuit insurance. This isn't the result of a wreck, this is breech of contract. I do not believe it would fall under any liability coverage.
-
I use to work for USA Truck and their pay out for liability for any accident is $1.6 million then insurance company covers the rest.
