School teaches with automatics. School charges $6100 and 18% interest. School knows 99% of companies out there use manual transmissions. School knows new CDL graduate from their school has only x amount of time to land job before they are due a refresher. Advantage: school. Disadvantage: student.

Why is it that none of you are interested in answering the question? I asked who to apply with. That is all I need to know at this point. All that you have responded is the same info already posted on other threads.

So once again, who/where do I apply?

Millis only hires students from their school.

I believe Willis Shaw runs autos, so does Maverick. Not sure if they hire out of NY or not though. Trans Am runs autos as well but they push the lease hard, however they do have company drivers as well.

No, this comes from my brother in law which is an industry analyst and also from the schools president of op that I am going to.

Werner has a high turnover, we all know that...and because Werner just won 14 new contracts, they are in need of drivers like mad. Now, some of that may be trying to over hire since they know some will flake out, but still, every situation is yours to lose once you are hired.

EDIT: I live in Toledo, Ohio...so I am in a prime area to hire drivers out of...since the toll road and I-75 are less than 3 miles from my door. Maybe I have a skewed view since drivers are in demand constantly around here.

Maveric does not hire in my area.

    Prime has said no.
Waiting on Covenant, TransAm, and Superior.

I will be applying to more, but I want to see what happens to thes 3 first.

Werner turned me down immediately for the accident.
Stevens turned me down because they did not like my job history. Duh? That is why I am trying to make a fresh start.

I can't think of the name but certain trucking websites will let u put in one app and send ur app to multiple companies and also try some of those trucking employment agencies and let them do the work 4 u. I use to just type in cdlajobs or just cdl and see what pops up.
