Anyone with insight on USA/C1 in Ft. Worth?

For what it is worth, I just finished C-1 in Indy and had a good experience. I used to live there in Cleburne and have a feeling the school in Fort Worth is probably a good school.

My advice is if you do go, check your ego at the door and genuinely do your best to absorb everything they say and show you. I had never even been inside a big rig before and was able to graduate and pass my state test before the end of the third week. It will be as good as you make it, in other words you'll get out what you put in. Don't hesitate to go to the school after hours, even if by yourself, to go over the trucks and practice the pre-trip inspection.

When you go to take your state test you will first have to pass the pre-trip, then the range (backing), then if you pass those you go out to the street for the road test. If you pass all three of those you get your CDL.

Like I said, the Fort Worth school is probably fine. I'm just judging the Dallas/Fort Worth area compared to stuff here in Indy--No real knowledge of the school. I have a feeling most C-1's are probably fairly similar, though I could be wrong.

I was just there. It is an old house just inside of Benbrook. The people are nice. The range is about a 5 acre course. It will get you what you need I suppose.
