I've been to DC twice in the last couple of years. The first time I could not find the scale... said to hell with it and kept on.
The second time I followed the other trucks who went in. There were no signs indicating what I should do, so I pulled into one of the lanes. The guy looked at me like I was on crack and told me to GTFO. Ok...
Won't make that mistake again, I'll just blow that one from now on. -
Not to the scale, but you still must go thru the Agriculture inspection.scottied67 Thanks this.

Tell me about it. I have the ultimate case to tell you. I moved around a bunch.
I went to truck driving school in TN in 1995. We went to the DMV as a group. Once I get to the officer to get my CDL, she tells me my TN license was cancelled. What? Yes, you're license is suspended in Florida. You need to get that straightened out first and get a letter of clearance before we give you your CDL.
I contact Florida. They tell me my license was suspended there because they were suspended in South Carolina where I moved from. What?

I contact South Carolina. They tell me my license was suspended there because they were suspended in Pennsylvania where I moved from. What? They tell me I have to get my license straightened out there and get a letter of clearance.
I finally contact Pennsylvania. They said my license was suspended because I didn't pay a speeding ticket in 1978 when I was 17. A bunch of us were riding around in my car. I let a so called friend drive my car. Like dummies, we passed a state trooper doing 85 mph. We quickly pull over as the state trooper did a u-turn. My so called friend said, "let's switch drivers, I don't have a license. I'll pay the ticket". So I did. I went in the Army shortly after.
Seventeen years later when states got high tech with computers, I found out he didn't pay the ticket when he told me he did. Two weeks and about $600 later, I got my CDL.
If I ever see that guy again...

State of Michigan, all Swift trucks are required to enter scales regardless of Prepass.
-
Let me guess..-gonna go on a road cruise & switch with him after being pulled over cause he yet has not got his license?

-
Given that they can set their PrePass to red light all trucks from a certain DOT#, if this is true, no Swift should get a green light anyway.
-
Is that, to get them out of everyones way. Ha ha
-
Now, now! Be nice. Besides, Prime runs their trucks slower than Swifties. Hey someone's gotta do something to keep them Swifties from feelin' too pickied-on!
