    1. How bad do these suck?
    2. Do you find them pointless?
    3. Are you generally stuck at some truck stop twidling your thumbs for 34 hours?
    4. If your close or at your alotted time that you have to shut the truck down can you keep going a little bit to find a town that you could stop at instead?

Depends on the drivers, if OTR they suck bad cause you will usually be doing them on the road, and not making money sitting at Jim Bobs truck stop in Cleatus, BFE. When I am OTR and feel I really need to reset (which isn't often since you will pick up hours at midnight) I put it towards a situation where I will run my truck hard as possible to a location suited best if possible and use part of my 10hour break after my last run as part of the 34. This way its really only 24 hrs of downtime, if you are like me you adapt and find things to do with your time off. Me its playing a fav game, shooting photography, reading etc. Good trip planning helps allot, still 24 hrs of not making any money stinks imo.

Local/Regional they don't really matter much since you will be off on the weekends at home usually so you reset then anyway.

with out getting into too much detail,
the hours you have used up for the day and the past (7 or 8) days and how many hours you "get back" after midnight......

as for the 34 hour reset, i like it. i like it because every other (typical) worker in america can go home for the weekend and start fresh on monday morning.....

we as drivers can only "get back" X number of hours each day......sometimes good, sometimes not so good.....

what kills me about the 34 hour reset, is that it came a bit late for me....

i used to go to cali, and i would stop in nevada.....(vegas)

wish i had 34 hours back then...!!!

34 hours goes by pretty fast believe it or not. If you plan it right, you can check into a hotel in the morning of your off time and get the full benefit of 24 hours in there. then it's just a short little 10 hours before you're rolling again--provided they have a trip set up for you-- what sucks is if they don't 34 turns into 48+.

If you enjoy playing the casinos, you can get the membership card and rack up points while you play. The points can be converted for food, clothing in their store, or free hotel rooms.
