I was sorry to hear ya had to go but, it is totally understandable given the situation I would have done the same thing. I'm sure that in this situation they will readmit you like that other person in our class who got sick you will just have to do week #2 over would be my guess. Take care of your family first and foremost everything else will work out exactly like it's supposed to.
I tested 3 skills today and of my 9 available points I used 3 which will leave me 6 points to use on blind-side parallel, 8 more hours of seat time and I'm headed back to home terminal (Columbus) for road training. So save catastrophic failure tomorrow with encroachments I will do just fine took a couple runs at it this afternoon and put it in with 1 point one time and 0 the next.

awesome job! Unfortunately it's my understanding I have to redo the whole thing, which, since I've been there, the first week should be a cinch. Good luck in the future, maybe soon, again not sure of the time table...i'll see you again.

Ok, so my update I passed Classroom with a 96% and completed Range Training. I got on a Grey Dog Fri and am in a hotel by my home terminal waiting somewhat patiently for Monday morning when we start Road training. Not sure what to expect at this point but, I will keep posting.
Keep the greasy side down and drive carefully. -

I went through Millington and started there on 11-22-10. The school is easy if you pay attention and try. I went back to the Greer terminal to do the road training and took my cdl exam on the following Thursday (12-09-10) and passed the first time. I am currently out with my mentor and are awaiting service in the Laredo terminal. I hope to be out of here tomorrow sometime. Good luck to all who attend the Swift Driving Academy. I can't find anything bad to say about my experience as of yet. I have some posts in the "Diary of a Current Swifty" thread detailing my experiences if anyone cares to read. Good luck to all and have a safe and happy new year.

So after an extra day off because the trainer was sick and called off work. We finally did a little shifting 2nd-4th gears on the yard and downshifting after about an hour we hit the real road. There we're 3 of us we split drive time in 1hr slots got out into less traveled path on a state rt and started running 4th-8th and 8th-4th I did ok not great but, good enuf for a first time. Had lunch and I drove back to the terminal in moderate traffic though some small towns and into Columbus. We switched again and the other two drove through downtown Columbus and back to the terminal. So at days end all was well nobody took out any 4 wheelers or clipped any fire hydrants, just a minor case of whiplash.

Thanks db yea it was the vast majority of the current threads on here I read thoroughly that made my decision to go to Swift Academy. Along with the cast of characters currently driving for Swift. I have no doubts now that I can do this and be successful.

Doesn't seem to be to many of our 746 classmates posting here. Where did they all go? I hope everyone made it. Mr. Campbell must of lied to me... I was "crowned" 2nd highest grade average in class and I only got a 95.6%. Guess he was just trying to make me feel better about being in "3rd" place. Good Job! Hope everyone has a great New Year... My CDL test in on Tuesday.... I can't wait!
JustSonny Thanks this.
