Did the other driver belong to you your DM as well? And he gave him the easy miles from the truckstop Tcall? He might have had his reasons like that driver is loster than lost and no clue so he's trying to build his confidence. It is an honorable thing that you do.

 

Hopefully you'll get something a little more reasonable. All of us get called in on a "do me a favor" load occasionally.

 

I'm interested in seeing how this plays out though... It would be great if it is just a "do me a favor" load, or his DM actually thinking it's a good run for him..

I am still with my same DM, same fleet manager. The FM is the developemental FM. I've been here almost 11 months.

BTW Gary has a habit of handing you a local load to get you an empty. Take it and get the FO of Gary.

not me anymore....unless i get a REALLY SWEET backup load....and i dont accept the 'DMaF" load till i see what the backup is. been burned too many times, and now as a L/O....i'm not rolling on a 200 mi 'DMaF' load unless the backup is niiiiiiice

 

It's only your 2nd week solo...quit being so self critical...everyone makes mistakes, and your DM expects some to happen to every new driver. the weight issue isn't something you are being babied with...it happens all the time....you took the time to clear the problem and get it legal to move...right thing again. I would think your DM is actually seeing some good things in you!
