Yes, MYOB. There is drivers out there that don't even work for a company that see someone bump something in a TS and call in to the other driver's company before the driver can.

Besides Dick you aren't employed by Swift any more.

There has been mentors in terminals that try and tell other drivers what to do just because the have a blue shirt. It may land them a punch in the nose.

I had one tell me to turn off my lights while backing into a trailer. His student was attempting to back under a trailer across from me. I just gave him a FO look and said "I think he is scratching your paint!" This guy had just got one of those '05 Freightliners on a straight purchase.

Reminds me of the story were the Jones family is sitting for dinner saying Grace, and little Richard announces, "Billy didn't have his eyes closed!" How did Richard know unless his eyes were open too? Little Richard just exposed himself to ridicule as a tattletale control freak.

I'd have been on the radio to you, "hey, *insert favorite expletive here* turn your lights off!" Because for one, it's the polite thing to do and for another, you are blinding me while I'm trying to go backward. If you are backing under a trailer, your headlights aren't going to help you anyway.

Now...I can understand if you have those auto-lights you can't shut off...sort of.... I swear! Manufacturers, politicians and company safety guys make it a real pain to be courteous to each other out here! But if you can't shut them off, perhaps indicating so would prevent an argument.

Simply tossing out a "FO" look at someone....well, you really don't know who it is you're looking at or who their friends are within the company.

But I won't rat people out for every little thing. I've done some dumb stuff before too. Major stuff? You betcha. I'll get into that later. Not enough time now.

again, you dont have a clue. you're right about not working for swift. but you're totally ignorant when it comes to having your lights on. Its common courtesy to turn your lights off. it also shows how ignorant some drivers are who always run with their fog lights on. ESPECIALLY IN TERMINAL YARDS !!!! i mean seriously, WTF??? i mean give me a perfectly good reason why you need 4 headlights on, on a perfectly clear night, driving in a company yard? you have any clue how bright those lights are to the other drivers? again, its simple common courtesy. something no mentor seems to want to teach, along with your parents....

Now, i just finished a nice hot breakfast out of the cafe. I get ready to leave, and notice there are crumbs all over the table. The normal, dumb truck driver thing to do, would be to just leave it for someone else to clean up. again....common courtesy....i wipe it off into my plate and throw the plate away.....

wow...a couple seconds it took me to leave things the way i found them. and a table just as clean as i found it. wonder why its so hard to be polite.

They usually want the plates and silverware back so they can wash it and serve the next customer with it....

Like I said Injun that mentor needs to instruct his student and not worry about me. Funny thing was his student had the lights on.

Dick have you ever been checked for OCD? :biggrin_25526:
