Hope this information helps someone out there. Got pulled into a Point of Entry and instructed to pull over and bring in CDL and permits. The registration for the truck is expired (was issued a temporary 45 day registration back in October 1, 2010). Mid November I sent 2 messages to my DM about it. Of course never got a response about it. So during one of our bi monthly phone chats it was among one of the topics asked her about. She said I can get IFTA stickers at any terminal, updated permits printed at any Kiosk etc. Cool. So the last time I was a terminal I turned in my accident report and camera, printed out all the permits from the kiosk and filed them in the permit book. My fault for not thinking to ask at the window when I picked up the T-call trailer about registration. But in my defense lol when I go to that window they act like doing their job is the worst burden in the world and if you ask for more than one thing at a time is just too much to ask (like asking for the t-call paperwork and trip scan sheets at the same time).
Anyway, OOS at the POE waiting for a fax at nearby truckstop that I will have to hike over to get in 7 degree weather. Called my terminal for them to fax it, but turns out the truck has not been registered at all since the 45 day temporary permit. So they are issuing me another temporary. This is very frustrating. Even though others didn't do their job by not registering the truck, I have to bear the CSA consequences. I guess I'm gonna have to hound my DM more about stuff that is important. I haven't heard a word about my accident, how they have ruled whether it is preventable or not, never was instructed to take any drug tests or anything. I feel the ball is being dropped bigtime..

Hubby has learned to NEVER assume that others, such as dms, are doing their job. Maybe they get busy and forget, lose the paperwork or are just lazy, either way, it is your job to make sure they do their job where it concerns you. Drivers should get paid extra
