Wow...in business 63 years. That is rare for a garage to be in business that long, and run by 3 generations. Great story.

Brings back some memories Krooser. I too used to stop at Fredricksburg and at the Mass 10, I remember when it opened just a tiny place.. Richard Gendreau ( Dr Doom on the base station) managed it for a number of years. Remember the "water hole" at Amesbury? Boy I've woke up hung over sick and puking there a few times back in the day!

You can tell the reporter knows nothing about trucking in that article. Towards the end of the article he describes them taking out a Mack wrecker to an accident, but spells Mack like it is a computer Mac. haha

No air ride seat, either.
My '74 IHC 4300 had walking beams and I was amazed at how smooth it rode... really! -

Wow those stories are truly amazing....now a days the fuel stores wont even give out a free coffee refill....wow ....and the part of being a trucker in 73 holy smokes thats worse tha being in war man what kind of sleep could you really get under those circumstances!?!?then again thats 73 truly amazing
