It seems there are a few of us headed Laredo way. I heard rumors of another of our members going that-a-way. I don't deliver until 0800 Monday, a live unload and with my hours constraints, probably won't be in town until about that time.

Looks like BW9 and Redd will be in the same neighborhood in Cali. Just gotta fire up that grill and Redd will be sure to follow his nose and find BW9. One of these days, I'll catch up with BW9 in time to flop my own steak on that grill. Just gotta figure out whether the right or left flank on that dog will be more tender... everybody here should know by now that the only reason I feed him is to keep the meat fresh.

    Oh......

I'm somewhere in BFE, Utah on top of US6 between Spanish Fork and Price. There's a nice little rest area I hadn't noticed before.

after I crunched the numbers on my log it looks like sunday morning before I will make it there. Picked up the load at 1800 last night in sc.
They wanted it in laredo at 15:00 today. I just went over the bladder pounder 24mile bridge in LA.
So yeah I got 6 hours left on my clock Am I going to do 1259miles in 21hours?
Umm not unless they start paying for all my fuel and repairs. I don't go over 60mph.
59 is my sweet spot where I been getting 7.7mpg

Anyways Injun we should try to meet up and say hi if I am still down there when you get there.
The only way someone gets to see my ugly mug is in real life. lol

Kinda like when I was down on the bayou at the petro2 did my pretrip and thought hmm that belt was a little tighter then usual O well off we go. Start the truck to hear belt squeaking and saw smoke. turn it off jumped out threw open the hood to see my ac compressor locked up. and the belt on it died. So I back tracked 21 miles to layfette ta to get it fixed. It was very disheartening. luckly the deal I got the truck from covered the repairs as I had just got the truck less then a week prior. and they gave me a small warranty with it.

In case I do a little rant,I want to apologize beforehand, but THIS is the frustrating part..-They had two days to work on it,and they knew what to do when I returned...On Thursday,(the 2nd day)they where pushin hard for me to take a load, which I refused..Yesterday,when I went to the shop, they told me to take it to a truck&trailer shop in Ft Dodge,Ia,to get the turbo calibrated, which,po"ed me enough, for this reason...Why send a $30 mechanic to take it there and wait, when they can send me and it costs them nothing..?? And,now this..,The 12 yr old me thought at 2am this morning just run the Pss out of it,and maybe it will die in WVirginia or Pa.....but,then,the 51 yr old me decided that would not be a good time either....Arrr,this being a "professional" can sometimes be a b---h.....:biggrin_2559:

Bumpy completely understand! We had a truck this summer that did nothing but break down in and out of the shop, truck hopping non stop and every time the Penske flunkies had the truck it came back worse than when we sent it in the shop. Sucks when you get paid by the mile to sit there at a shop for two days while you watch them smoke, shake their heads and then go home lol.
Plus side dh is in Chilliwack hopefully heading my way on Monday!

My PAM '06 Century has a lighting problem. I will NOT call attention to it until I'm on a load. I see no reason to spend another 3 days to week in a company shop!

    Still in beautiful Shepherd, TX
