I have yet to hear a low voltage alarm. Hopefully they can just replace the batteries the mechanic said the batteries are over 2 years old and need replaced.

Well know I am at the shop in Decatur hoping that they get me out of here tomorrow but by the looks at the guys in the shop they look like they are moving at a snails pace. Maybe they are just tired.
They told me it would be sometime tomorrow and I said cant ya just give me the batteries and I will install them? Of course I was joking but the guy on the other end did not seem to have a sense of humor.
Oh well everything is broke here, Guard gate,Scanners and Kiosk. Really I thought this place would be in order but looks like they are having some issues. Had to go down to the Pilot to scan my paperwork in.
So I have had a good week around 3100 miles. Hopefully I can get out of here tomorrow and will be a little upset if I have to sit here for days. How much or do I get paid for sitting waiting for the truck to get fixed?
Is that called breakdown pay? -
Yes, break down pay is about $50 a day I think.

On the Volvo the alarm beeps for only a few seconds, but, the lights on both rear fan switches will blink when voltage is low. You have one switch on the rear control panel, the other is in front of your right knee if you are in driver's seat.

Thanks! Holy somebody put some speed in the shops drinks!!! I went back to my truck and someone knocked on it and said pull her into bay 3. 30 minutes later he comes and gets me and I am fixed and ready to roll.
I got myself a full set of new batteries. My first shop experience is a winner!!! There is a huge line of trucks in line here wonder why they all of a sudden changed there mind and pulled me in tonight.
Ready to roll in the morning gonna watch some movies my sister gave me and enjoy the rest of the night. Take care all. Will update if I feel it's worthy. -
I hate the Decatur shop. Slow, with bad atttitudes. One person there has a real badattiude/drinking problem. If I get around him and smell booze on his breath I will be on the phone to Phoenix.
I had to wait 4 1/2hrs under a load for 1 tire. I was first in line and that is how long it sat in the shop. -
yea that shop has always been that way since i can remember i drove for swift 10 years ago but they sell good bbq there if the guy in the red suv still goes there if he does i recomend his ribs good food he dont charge much that i remember

Well I have no idea why they got me in and out of the shop so fast but it really did not matter as I sat until past noon trying to figure out where the load that was suppose to be on the yard was.
I was told it was not here yet and the truck was 500 miles away. Hmm I am not sitting here for ten hours waiting on another truck! So I go out and decline the preplan after accepting it. They told me in the pre-plan that the load was on the yard.
Dispatch at Decatur said the load was in South Florida. So After I denied the pre-plan and go back into the drivers lounge dispatch yells for me and they hand me the paperwork on the load. Okay someone screwed up and just wasted three hours of my time messing around.
Go back out and accept the pre-plan again and it takes awhile to get the route and info sent to me. I had to walk back in and tell the lady at the window I need the information. I was already on the phone with dispatch in Houston so dunno why they did not send it to me then.
Finally around 12:30 PM I get hooked to the trailer and roll out. Load was suppose to be here at 1700 but oh well they should have figured out what was wrong this morning.
other than this day went fine. Got to go over Monteagle for the first time again in 17 years. Nice sceneryInjun Thanks this.
