I mean remember all those 50's, 60's re-runs of the Godzilla disaster flicks..
It seems poor Japan is always at the epic center of disaster, radiation, Godzilla type creatures...on and on...
Here's a video of some of the tsunamis destruction
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4w27IczOTk
I mean wow...amazing...a wall of water just creeps across the landscape destroying everything in it's path...like at 50 mph or faster...looks more like 70 mph...
Right as the video ends, you can see cars on the highway to the right and top, it would of been nice to see if the cars were able to out drive this wall of water...
Luckily, at least in this video, most of it was farm land with warehouses...
to be continued...
Trucking can be like a bad marriage...

Again...such devistation...I can't believe people are standing on a bridge watching...insteading of moving out the way...

Boats, cars, trucks...wow...the destruction power of water is amazing, no wonder it was gods prefered method during Noahs flood...
It also prooves that canyons are carved out instantly, not over millions of years the way some evolutionist claim...water doesn't need millions of years to change the landscape...the force of water can change any landscape instantly...and then the water recedes, and goofy scientist come by later and claim a small stream carved out a canyon...ye ok...
(at the end of video, you see a truck driving right towards devistated bridge, I believe other side of bridge is destroyed..) -
Water is a unique natural element...
Vital for all living organisms survival, a hot soothing bath, 85 degree turquoise water sorrounded by palm trees...
Most think of the picturesque serentiy when imagining water.
Most do not realize water is arguably the most destructive force in nature. No one could imagine the pristine, tropical paradise of Indonesia being struck by a tsunami. A massive wave of water, traveling at the speed of a jetliner bearing down on that lush, tropical vacation spot killing upwards of 200K. It's hard to imagine; especially while looking out at a calm, tranquil ocean. From tropical tsunamis to the frigid oceans of the northern atlantic, 90' + rogue waves sinking ships the size of football stadiums; scuba divers succumbing to the frigid temperatures and sinking lifelessly to their salty grave. Just 6" of flowing water can move a 2500 pound car. I've been in knee deep water during rough conditions and hit by a 6' wave, smashed against the ocean floor, cut open stomach, and struggled to reach the surface - all in SHALLOW water.
The sea is unforgiving...
The ocean is a hostile, alien environment to humans.ghostchild and JimDriv3r Thank this. -
Nuclear power plants...
Do we really need these things??
I mean ye they're a great sorce of 'clean' energy when all goes well...
But as we've seen in Japan, all it takes is one devistating earth tumbling earthquake or wall of water, to destroy or level one...
Man never counts on natural disaster when planning for the future...I'm mean like earth shifting disasters...
(Modern man has introduced alot of toxins into the soil, water and air...and I'm really don't want to live in a world where all the mud is radio-active, or tainted with toxins...I think there's better ways to solve our energy needs, big power plants like these really only benefit the large corporations who build them, and distribute the power at a cost...more on that later)
We (well not me) but developers build massive citys right at oceans edge, as it the earth will always be 'stable', as if mans architucture can withstand anything...gives people a false sense of security...
Katrina, Haiti, Malasia (where 500,000 died in tsunami)...wow...massive population centers mean you have more destruction and death when things do go wrong...
Yet most Americans continue to scoot along, eating Kaptian Krunch cereal, going to the mall, stuffing the belly with food, watching TV, sports, listening to garden shows, game shows, ect ect...
We are so shielded, and as a result, so much of our population is 'dense'...uniformed...
And no, informed doesn't mean getting all your news, and views of the world through ratings driven political talk show personalities...
Where everything that occurs under the sun is either Bushes fault or Obamas fault...
People who swallow that stuff, too, are very 'dense'...and are incapable of having normal conversation about ideas, outside of a political frame work...
Anyhow...that's all for now...at least here...JimDriv3r Thanks this. -

On a different scale for a moment...as you watch the destruction of this tsunami...think of the effects the salt water will have on the animal life, like fish, and other aquatic animals that can't live in salt water...
Also think of all the alley cats and dogs and pets, in those homes or just walking around, that got swept away...all the rodents, that have drowned...(I guess that's good to many)...the snakes, and all the other ground dwelling varmin...
I guess the birds are the only ones who could escape...
But on the other hand, all the ant's and roaches, all will drown, or have...U4EA Thanks this. -
Hi, goodnight...library is about to close..I so hate having to depend on public locations to post thoughts...it so cramps my style...
U4EA...thanks for your continued support...
Brilliance is not really appreciated here...if Albert Eistien was here...he would be marginalized....
I'm a Albert Eistein who happens to have a sexy body...and sex appeal...
Why hold that against me...but people do...oh well...
I could go on Face Book and totally 'blow up'...but I'm not after fame and popularity...I'm after people who can think and contimplate ideas....
That means more to me than popularity...
I share so much here...but because I'm not fat and heavy and wear cover alls...people dismiss me...oh well...
Being sexy and looking young is not a sin...their closing now...they're kicking me out...
Darn...I have so much to say tonight...darn...oh well...
gotta go...so much unfinished thought...
live long and prosper...those of you strong enough to do so...those of you who are able to see beyond your world....
later...
