I see exactly what your saying. I'm saying there are good jobs out there. They could be better but until crappy companies quit lowering the standards they will be scarce.

    StudentOfLife and Braveheart Thank this.

I was in the old fields of Utah for over 2 years driving a tanker transport, we were paid by the hour and once we had 40 hours it was all over time :biggrin_25525:
My family still lived in Sacramento so I would fly home for a week every 6 weeks. I still made good money and I had a good boss that let his employees know they were appreciated.
The only reason I'm back home is my lovely wife of 27 years and I have two teenage girls and they need a daddy!

It's people like you who roll over and let recruiters, dispatchers and trucking companies continue to lie to you and your fellow drivers!

Huh? Did I say any of this? Check what I have said in other places about this practice of lying, QUIT the #### company!

You sit by silently as trucking companies take advantage of your fellow drivers!

Huh? Sitting silently is not a strong point of mine. :biggrin_2559:

It is people like you, who don't have the balls to stand up and expose a lie! Cowardly and spineless, you only care for yourself and it is people like you who perpetuate this abuse of Truck Drivers!

Ding Ding Ding, that companies lie is no new thing, it hardly has to be exposed like its just been discovered. Truckers perpetuate the abuse of truckers by working for bad companies because they don't research the place beforehand.

You really do not have the capability to read literature and understand any of what a person is saying, you are so blinded by your own opinions that there is no point in trying to have any kind of educated conversation. You keep up with the big fonts and bold letters and all the yelling because its hindering you learning anything from anyone. I wish I knew everything like you do, You are my hero.

StudentOfLife, Calm down before you blow something, I see little point in keeping this going as we will never meet in the middle. Cheers.

Do your due diligence and Get it in writing! In a former life as a real estate agent, per the state requirement all offers and agreements were in writing. Verbal anything, although sometimes legally binding is very hard to prove, but something written and signed/initialled in front of licensed agents is very good. If it was not in writing it did not exist in my practice.

That said. I saw plenty of shyster agents who were always trying to take advantage of situations either out of greed or sheer laziness.

I also ran a Recruit processing station for the Navy where my job was quality control verses the production oriented recruiter. We were expected to provide a "healthy friction" to get higher quality people. I also used that opportunity to enlighten applicants and honestly address their concerns.

Sorry you were lied to and thank you for sharing to help enlighten others.:biggrin_25514:

THAT IS GOOD ADVICE! ....get in writing!
I feel sorry for anyone who has ever worked at Hendrickson or is still there, they are a sinking ship!!
I just quit because I can't stand when people continue to lie to me!
From the recruiter "DICK" to the the Dispatchers, their all a bunch of thieving crooks screwing every driver out of his time....time he could be drivin!
