Any way he can prove it and get said mechanic/shop to pay for expenses? That just sucks majorly.

    My thoughts exactly.

    I seriously doubt it.

I doubt it, also, but I'd #### sure be calling them and giving them a piece of my mind. That's just total BS.

Sounds like a Wal-Mart auto service center! The only oil change I ever had there, I drove out, went to the opposite end of the building, and checked the oil level. It was right....right next to the oil filter wrench the "technician" had left under the hood...

Sure hope you can get this straightened out in your favor, Redd. Mistakes happen...it's just getting the one who committed the error to fess up and make it right.

Sorry this whole thing came down on ya Redd.

That whole situation seriously sucks - and yeah, the tech needs a good case of whoop-arse opened up in his direction. Makes me wonder about Petro in general - had a fuel filter changed a month ago by them, and it took them over an hour to get my engine started.

Heading out for Wilkesboro to the chicken house - going to Grand Rapids for the first part of the week.

Nobody ever said anything about it being the Petro. This is how bs rumors get started. He had smiply stated that he had pulled out of the Petro after his 10. :biggrin_25513:

I'm the one who had trouble with Petro.

Spirit Lake, ID. They got me where I asked to be in a fairly reasonable amount of time. I was on the east side of Atlanta last Friday, when I made the request.

You don't even want a update....

So who do I put the blame on? Who I bought the truck from? The dealer in Salt Lake? Thr guy who put the air compressor on? The guy who did the condensor? The people who do my pm's?

Sounds like they didn't put fuel in your filters.

    Secret????

Had to argue with the kid about it... he finally called someone (his boss? another mechanic? who knows!) then he pulls out the deal they use to charge the fuel filters with - and after a bit and a lot of pumping she started up.

Come on! This is only a stinkin' fuel filter change, and they can't figure that out???
