I see you've been a Trucker for 4 years. All 4 with USA? After reading post I have 1 question; Why don't you just leave? You're one of the many trainers we have that are just training for the $$. Probably don't do a very good job really training.

I see allot of drivers getting lost in the wash not sure why. Seems it may happen to me one day. Giving permission to sit on weekends not at home. Some of these stories you guys come up with are funny. Its one year tho so just stick it out. If you are not happy find something that makes you happy and works for you. Why bash a company if you work there. A company can not get better if you build a bad image of it.

I think the primary problem with USA Truck starts with its president and that dysfunctional board. Operations is a mess. I wonder if any of this is Burton Weiss's fault ?

Awww choo choo don't be mad lol I may have trained you lol I see your an Alabama boy ...look I train as everyone else does for the money ofcourse you think us trainers are doing it for nothing ...we give up our safety and privacy and ofcourse it should be compensated as for how well I train I feel I give the student what he paid for ..my family drives these roads so it is serious business when it comes to training but the money well that is neccessary to...why don't I quit well cause I make money but every student I train calls me bout 3 monhs. Own the road either quitting or complaining about how they are being treated and run...I am very active with this and try to help them you know what USA responds with to me when I try to help them..."the new drivers are not your concern after you upgrade them...you just keep training them ...so we can keep an even flow of drivers coming in to the ones leaving...this is how we do business ....we expect most to quit after 6 months anyway ...they are not important ...they are just warm bodies for the trucks ...don't concern yourself with these matters...it how we do things andnalways will" word for freakin word ...believe it or not lol so you keep believing those scripts USA reads you...your a great driver...give us time to get things right....thx for your patience ....your my best driver haha ...sry man there's nothing out there or your load cancelled to funny USA depends on drivers who work from the neck down....show them you got a brain and you become to intemidating for them lol....

I'm a trainer too, and I've never been told (or seen) what you describe. Maybe your students develop a bad attitude towards USA from their training. My plan was to get my 1st year completed, then leave. My trainer changed that. He's been here 19 years, so it can't be all bad. I had a student having trouble with his FM getting his A/C fixed. I made 1 phone call and he was headed to a terminal that day. So don't think we can't make a difference.

As far a training, you may be one of our best, but you, your students, and USA would benefit greatly from a positive attitude. I still think, that with your current attitude, you should at least quit training. Yes, we have our problems. So do all the other companies out there. The big question, if you do decided to change companies, is WHAT set of problems you want to deal with. Theirs may be different than ours, but there will still be problems, or things you don't like.

For all USA Drivers, if you want to be a positive influence, and try to help initiate change, visit the blog Ridinwithpride dot com. It is just starting so you can be an important part.

your insulting to me......but your reason for training I will accept as honesty, the rest I say is bullsh&&.

If you cannot make an impact on the people you are teaching then why do it? Money? Your attitude that is conveyed in your statements is typical of the trainers I have come across here, but all are not that way. You say you have concerns and voice them to USIT, their response to you is where I get scrambled. They spend a good amount of money trying to develop folks and they want them to leave? Thats what you want us to believe? So DOT violations, accidents and the like are things that USIT is willing to live with, in this new climate of CSA2010? I dont see how they can afford to, nor can any other carrier.

I met a guy here, we became friends, he happens to be a trainer. Been with the company 3 years, runs a dedicated Dana run. After I upgraded and received my truck assignment, I went to pick it up and of course the typical horror story insued. So bad the I was going to leave right then and there. I called dispatch, no resonable response, so out of frustration I called my friend to let him know I was leaving. He made (2) phone calls and within 30 minutes I was being taken care of. Yes I was new, but dont tell me that no one listens in operations, its not true. Unless maybe your attitude that we see here shines thru to others and your requests fall on deaf ears, which makes better sense.

No place is perfect and there is not one that exists. As a trainer you are the most critical link in the start of someones career. Its your responsibility to foster and facilitate a culture of success that will at a minimum allow your student to have the tools neccessary to make it for a minimum of the one year required. Anything less than that you are a failure and you should be ashamed. Will they all make it? No reasonable person would think such a thing, however, you have the biggest influence on a persons career.

My trainer has been here 23+ years. Over 2.75 million safe miles at USIT. I was lucky to have him and his attitude. He told me what to expect and what to do when it happened. I listened and it works. My friend (the trainer) does the same thing with all his students and his retention rate is among the best in our company. Attitude is everything. And people see thru the bull and shut you off, thus you loose your effectiveness as a mentor or a person for that matter. Your comments here reek of someone who sits in the terminal, you know the one, who tells you all they know about the inner workings of the current state of affairs of the company and bad it is. You ask them a source and they cant tell you. They want you to know your working in a bad place and to be afraid of it. All outlandish bullsh&&& which people see thru, even here where you can hide behind a screen name.

USIT is not without their trouble, I experience it too! But I dont think the story is over, I will honor my committment.

My main question, is why do they blow all their money to get people in the door with cash and prizes, and then when they leave you sitting for hours on end, they don't want to pay you like other companies, or if you sit for days, they don't want to pay you. You can get it, but you got to fight tooth and nail to get it. It's your money. But if you get more than 2200 mi. they don't want to give it to you. They say that you should be content with 2200+mi. Why if I work harder do I not get rewarded for it. Many other companies out there pay detention pay, others also pay for loads and drop and hooks. Even better ones pay you to stay in the truck every night. There are even a few I have seen that will pay you by the hour if you get caught in traffic. I don't expect USA to do all of that, but at least pay us for the time we sit. Especially when it is without a doubt there fault.
