Well, I turned my truck in today in West Memphis. I have orientation Monday @ US Xpress. A buddy of mine and I, are going to run teams with them. I have talked to a team that is on here and some of their other company drivers to. All of their team drivers talk good things about them. Hoping it is worth the move, but the pay I have heard from the drivers I talked w/ sounds very, very nice. Either way, I had planned to finish my time up here, but I just couldn't stay here and keep getting run over. I've sit around too much, and I've sat at shippers for hours and not got paid for it. I've sent multiple messages to the night dispatch with no response for 5 hours. Also along with my FM last time I was to go home, he decided to leave after he told me he was working on a swap for me. It seems as if everyone that works in that office is just there for a paycheck, and has no concern for the drivers which are the ones who make the company what it is. Then the nights and weekends are so overworked they do as little as possible and you wait hours on end for a response. I can't stand a lack of communication. The pay with this new job, is a strong point in me making the move. Although the pay @ USA wasn't great, I knew it from the beginning so I wasn't disappointed in it, just will be happier with more. I had 3 FM's that was horrible since April. The last one was a crybaby and got mad for me sending him multiple messages when he wouldn't reply asking if there was someone watching the fleet. He said, I don't sit here and just watch to see if "YOU" have problems. I said I understand that, but should I wait for over an hour for a response?
Either way, I am hoping for the best in my new career move. Good luck to everyone else still here. Hope they are still honestly making more changes for the better, for the new folks coming on. I got a message on the QC last night stating, the night dispatch is overworked. So please use QC for everything, and they will work to answer all questions within 20 mins. I had a few questions last night that took about 30-40 mins to answer, but they took this long for every question, so it basically took 2.5 hours to get an answer that could have been answered the first time. or all within 30 minutes if they wouldn't answer you, and then wait and let someone else answer it next, and then someone else next.
Well going to bed @ home for the weekend, and enjoying being home. Wish me luck.

Don't mean to hijack the thread or anything but when my FM calls me on Monday morning I will be telling them I'm leaving and the truck and keys are sitting on the empty truck spots on Vandalia.

I have several current and past USA drivers in my messenger. From what I understand from them all the terminals are full of unassigned tractors today. Last I heard the company assigned/unassigned ratio was 10/1, it has got to be closer to 100/12 now from all the (unconfirmed) stories of drivers turning them in. Even if there is still a flow of new drivers coming in, this will push the % of drivers with under 6 months over 50%. No matter how you break it down this company seems to be in trouble.
