It's easy to get in and out. The turn into the gate is a little tight, but nothing bad. If going down on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday be prepared to sit until Monday morning/afternoon. Usually isn't too bad to get a load out of there during the week though.
You can follow their directions, but I usually take Exit 9 and turn onto Killam Ind Blvd (road is hidded/comes up fast -will miss if not careful-, its between two light poles) and turn right at the traffic light (Mines Rd/FM1472), go past schnieders terminal and turn left on pan american which i think is the 2nd or 3rd light after schnieder and the terminal is close to the end of the road on the right, when you see our trailers start slowing down, the entrance is right after the bushes.
Thats just the way my trainer showed me and thats the way I'm comfortable with
A couple other tips...
* Remove your rubber grommets from the trailer air connections when you drop your trailer
* If you need an empty trailer, you should check with the office first. They usually have a list and will give you a number of an empty
* Its a dust bowl so don't wash your truck before you go down there
* If you deliver to any place outside the terminal you HAVE to go to the terminal first to get the trailer inspected and any other paperwork needed.
* The mechanics down there are very fast when needing lights, tires, or any other minor repair done. (Don't work weekends or nights)
* Has one washer, one dryer. Small TV with 3 chairs. Microwave, Ice machine, scanner (when working).
Hope that helps![]()

Awesome green...Thanks for the instructions....
I know Roanoke is easier to get to off of peters creek rd, but the GPS and everyone else's directions say to go down around the airport and all that difficult BS. -
Yeah, it's so horrible, doesn't make any sense at all. Now, you must "reply" to load headers, no more macs for arrival/departure. They claim it's faster, more accurate...blah blah blah. BS! You get 5 messages for each load, and more if there are more than one delivery for that load. The problem is that the qualcomms are limited to how many messages can be stored. I arrived at my final a couple of days ago and the message that I was supposed to reply to was no longer there. It's still taking 2-3 hours to get a new load. You no longer get directions to shipper...that's now a separate mac that you have to send in for. That's not so efficient since now you have to wait for directions to come back.
The ###### that's responsible for choosing TMW over the last setup should be terminated. They "fixed" something that wasn't broken. And the training for this system was horrible, their answer to everything is a stupid flash video. -
It is awful. There is no reason it shoils have been changed, especially to this. I think the load assignments should have their own page, that way you don't have to scroll 27 messages or chance losin the like you did. I'd prefer receiving directions with load assignments, instead now you have to request them.

I agree, but at least now we can request specific directions by typing int he company code. Makes it less stressful then getting directions for a previous consignee when you wanted directions for your new shipper.

Used to see USA management here (my hometown), guess travel time got the Kibash? Maybe they just quit wearing the USA truck golf shirts.
