Hi..
Is SpringMo the only location for training??
Also, being from Mass, how would the CDL work??
I am going to get my permit before I leave, but from what I understand, unless you have had a CDL for 2 years, MA will not convert your CDL without taking the skills test again, so how would they work this???
would they have me come back to MA to take my CDL test???
thank you..

For CDL training at Prime, yes.
You would get a CDL issued through MO. Its your choice to either relocate to MO or transfer your CDL back to MA.
You can get your CDL permit in MA... and this is recommended. It takes some stress off of the first few days in training. Check with recruiting on whether they'll accept a MA permit in MO - there's only a couple of states that its a problem in, not sure which ones.
You will get a CDL issued in MO. They will get you and your trainer a load bound for MA as soon as possible after you get your CDL so you can transfer your license. Any tests you have to re-take in MA shouldn't be a problem, right? After all, you just passed them in MO...
See above... good luck! -
ya problem is you need a truck and most of us dont have one sittin in the garage hehe
-
You are sent WITH your trainer. In his truck. Now, I don't know all the trainers, not even a lot of them. However, I think it would be within the realms of allowability to ask him if you can borrow his truck to take the MA test. He can only say no, right?
And ask BEFORE you get in the truck, and make your choice accordingly. Also, talk to your recruiter on how best to go about this... -
ya mass usually has a few weeks wait time beteewn when you call for it and when they schedule a test

Thank you IP for the info..
Yea I figured being from MA would end up being a pain in the ###..
but I guess with having to make an appointment, I can find out in advance and see if the trainer and fm can plan a load out to my testing destination, (which is 3 miles from my house)
But as another question, can you have a MA license and a MO CDL? -
no, most state only allow one license be it a cdl or standard and of cours ma is a pain, they dont know how to be any other way, non of my other certs are recognized anywere elese and non are recognized here from anywere else, even my medic cert
